In short

Who to call for a cracked windshield in Orlando

Bang AutoGlass of Orlando is a mobile crew. Nobody drives to a shop: you tell us where the car is parked, and the technician brings the right windshield there. Phone our Orlando line, (407) 305-3829, or text a photo of the crack to (877) 350-5962. We match the glass to your VIN, look at your Florida policy if you want to use insurance, and set a time between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday.

Inside the city of Orlando alone we have 300+ completed installs. Our area runs well past the city line, though, into Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Polk, Volusia and Brevard counties and up to The Villages. The service area page lists all 20 towns on our Orlando Google profile with their ZIP codes and main roads.

The appointment

How an Orlando install goes, step by step

  1. Quote by VIN

The VIN tells us whether your windshield carries a camera bracket, a rain sensor, acoustic layers or a heads-up display area, so the glass that arrives is the one your car takes.

  2. Pick the spot

A garage or carport is best between June and October, when an afternoon storm can roll in. Tell us about gate codes, HOA vendor rules or a resort's service entrance when you book.

  3. Remove and set

The broken windshield is cut out, the pinch weld is cleaned and primed, and the new glass is set in fresh urethane. Most installs take about 30–45 minutes.

  4. Calibrate the camera

Cars with a lane or braking camera behind the mirror get it calibrated in the same visit where the procedure can be done on site. You get written notice beforehand if your car needs it. Calibration in Orlando.

  5. Hear the drive-away word

Humidity and heat change how the urethane sets, so there is no fixed clock. The technician tells you when the car is safe to drive.

Central Florida roads

What breaks windshields around Orlando

The southwest stretch of I-4, from the attractions area past Sand Lake Road, is still a work zone under FDOT's I-4 Beyond the Ultimate project, with express lanes extending past Sand Lake Road due in 2027. Lane shifts and loose material there mean more stones in the air. Up north, the Wekiva Parkway (SR 429) closed the beltway in January 2024, and 70 mph toll traffic throws grit just as hard as the interstate does.

Weather adds its own share. Afternoon thunderstorms arrive most days from June into October, and hurricanes like Milton in 2024 drop oak limbs onto parked cars. A small chip on glass that has baked all afternoon can split once the A/C hits it. Our windshield replacement page covers each of these in more detail.

Other glass

Side windows, rear glass and sunroofs

Windshields come first for us, but the same visit can cover door glass, back glass and the sunroof. We do not repair chips.

  • Door glass

    Smashed side window

Break-ins at hotel garages and apartment lots usually take one door window. We fit new glass and vacuum the cubes out of the door panel and seats.

    Door glass

  • Back glass

    Rear window or hatch glass

Sedan rear glass, SUV hatches and pickup sliders, with the defroster and any antenna leads reconnected before we leave.

    Back glass

  • Sunroof

    Sunroof and panoramic panels

Glass panels on tilting sunroofs and fixed glass roofs. A motor or track fault is a job for a sunroof mechanic, and we will say so.

  • Cameras

    ADAS calibration

Lane-keep, collision warning and automatic braking look through the windshield. After new glass, the camera is set back to the maker's specifications.

Orlando windshield questions

Ask anything else on our Orlando line, (407) 305-3829, or text a photo to (877) 350-5962.

What does a new windshield cost in Orlando?

It depends on the part your car takes. Cameras, heads-up displays, rain sensors and acoustic glass all change the windshield, so we quote from the VIN. If your Florida policy has comprehensive coverage, the deductible does not apply to windshield damage; we confirm that on your policy before booking.

Can you replace a windshield at a vacation rental or resort?

Often, yes, if the property allows vendor work in its lot. Ask the front desk or the rental host first, then give us the address and the parking area. A rental car's glass goes through the rental company, not through us.

What happens if it storms during my appointment?

Urethane has to go onto dry glass and a dry frame. If a cell is heading for your area and there is no garage or carport, we call to move the time and you choose the new slot.

Do you cover towns outside Orlando like Lakeland, Deltona or The Villages?

Yes. All 20 towns on our Orlando Google profile are on the service area page, from Titusville and New Smyrna Beach on the coast to Lakeland and Davenport to the southwest.

Is there a shop I can drive to?

No. We are mobile only, so there is no walk-in location. The technician comes to your home, your work or wherever the car is parked off the road.
